Field Trip: PATH, Old City Hall, Zamboni, Free Concert

Contrasting styles between late-Classical Brahms and early-Modern Scriabin, echoes of Vienna waltzes teased through the filter of Ravel's French idioms and punctuated with canons of the First World War, and the cries of infants in culture shock--these all blended to highlight the free concert enjoyed by the twenty-odd participants, volunteers, and staff of MicroSkills.

From Level 4 - 5 were Eva, Sheppard, Jane, and her son. It was also nice sighting Judy and Jessie on the Southbound Platform earlier that morning.

First stop of the morning--PATH, Toronto's Underground City
With Peter's helpful commentary, we visited the Hudson's Bay Company, Eaton Centre, Toronto's PATH network, Bay Street, Old City Hall, Nathan Phillips Square with a Zamboni making its rounds, and the cattle-proof gates of Osgoode Hall en route to our concert venue.

Thanks to our prior group booking, the MicroSkills delegation were treated like VIPs and accorded priority seating before everyone else. God willing, things will be as nice and smooth come our next field trip--to a Christmas concert at Roy Thomson Hall!
