Prospective Students Old and Young at Ryerson
Blow wind, come wrack, at least 10 MicroSkills participants showed up this morning at Ryerson University's ENG Building through fog and filthy air.
Just before stepping within, we, too, had a moment to ponder the row of Bixi Bikes at the side of the building.
First, we enjoyed a presentation where we got questions answered by Soeun Outh.
Hao and daughter, Jane and son and mom, Amanda, Ning, Tony, Babak, Henry, Jenan, Julia, Judy, and Ping and daughter were all there!
For our walking tour, two student guides showed up. Harley and Jennifer took us from one campus building to the next, which brought back memories of schooldays for some of us.
Finally, we got to Maple Leaf Gardens and Loblaws, where some of us headed for the food troughs and others hightailed home. Fodder for tomorrow's blog postings!

Today's Assignment (Answers shown) & Field Trip Details
Don't forget your umbrellas!
We're headed for a field trip to Ryerson University tomorrow (Tuesday), and our meeting point is 8:55 a.m. on the Southbound Platform of Sheppard Yonge Subway Station. Please do not be late. If you're coming from Don Mills, you should leave around 8:30 a.m. The plan is to get off at Dundas Station and walk over to Ryerson's ENG Building (George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre, 245 Church Street) for a presentation at 10 a.m. The presentation will be followed by a walking tour of the university. I'm planning to carry a borrowed cell phone (2647 229 99488--delete the first and last digits) in case of anyone getting lost.
