From Bay St. to the Bohemian Way: Our Hike Through The Annex

Jumping off at Bay Station, our intrepid team of MicroSkills participants and volunteers made our way across a kaleidoscope of downtown scenes, from well-heeled Bay Street to the discalced, dishevelled  Bathurst end of The Annex.

The team included Peter, Talaat, Jacquie, Anna, Joan, and Sue.

The above are the latest pictures from Peter's camera. Hope you enjoyed them!

We had a ringing start to the indoor segment of our field trip with a visit to the big bronze (copper + tin) bell on the ground floor.

Norval Morrisseau welcomed us to the First Nations exhibits.

What an educational, aesthetic experience!

Then it was onward, westward, past UTS, for those with brains and bucks.

Books, offered in another form!

Some succeed, but others "wok out" and, as Peter put it, never come back!

Scenes of The Annex: It was Christie by the time we hopped back down the subway!

Learnings included Toronto's history, navigating the public transit system, reading signages, asking for clarification, expressing appreciation or surprise, listening to extended speech, and--prospectively--descriptive writing on learner blogs.
