TODAY'S, THURSDAY'S, & FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE

Hello folks,

Here's what we're doing today through Friday:

1. This afternoon, we're doing the following in the LINC Lab 5 on the 9th floor:

• From your grammar sheets, select 2 sentences from Exercise 16 (p. 147) and share them on your blog. Check your work with a partner before posting it.
• Read through the ESL Week Contest winning entries at this site. Tell two classmates which was your favourite and why.
• Watch and discuss this media entry to the TESL Ontario contest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ_BeR9QPn0. Did it win in the contest?
• Go to the TumbleBook Libary through Toronto Public Libary, and do a TumbleSearch for "halloween." What three titles come up? Listen to one of them.

2. Due to TESL Ontario's annual conference, there will be no LINC classes Thursday and Friday, but you are welcome to come to our centre on the 9th floor on Thursday to make use of the Internet and reading resources there. Or you can work from home.

Here's the homework:

• Correct the errors in Exercise 17 (20 questions) on pp. 147 - 48 of your grammar papers.
• Listen to the following two Listening Comprehension Podcasts, on Doubting One's Language Use and Describing Speech and Language Ability.
• Set up a time to call a classmate to practise the conversation of the podcast.
• Check through our class blog to see if you're missing any blog-writing exercises and complete them.
