Feel free to take in a little of the atmosphere in Toronto this Sunday!
LINC 4 - 5 participants at Remembrance Day celebrations in North York last year |
This Sunday, November 11, is Remembrance Day, and you may find yourself stopped at 11 a.m. for two minutes' silence if you're out shopping.
However, if you'd like to participate intentionally in a Remembrance Day ceremony, here are some options:
•City of Toronto Ceremony - www.toronto.ca/lestweforget/
•60 Queen Street West (at Bay Street)
•2012 ceremony begins at 10:45am
North York Civic Centre (Toronto Centre for the Arts) - George Weston Hall (near North York Centre Subway, North York Civic Centre, TDSB)
•City of Toronto Ceremony - www.toronto.ca/lestweforget/
•George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Centre for the Arts
•5040 Yonge Street
•2012 ceremony begins at 10:45am
In the past, we would prepare for and go attend these ceremonies as a school, but this year's being on a Sunday, please go on your own and share your experience on your blog.
For full details, check out the official City page.
